IPFA 3rd Asia Workshop on Plasma Quality and Supply, Malaysia

The International Plasma and Fractionation Association (IPFA) and Pusat Darah Negara (National Blood Centre, Malaysia) are pleased to announce the

IPFA 3rd Asia Workshop on
Plasma Quality and Supply

“Technological, regulatory and organisational tools to produce plasma for fractionation”

This Workshop will build on the success of the meeting held in Taiwan in 2016 and in Yogyakarta in 2017, which highlighted the importance of this topic for the region. The Workshops attracted around 185 delegates from 30 countries and was sponsored by a number of commercial organisations. The reports and the presentations made available by the speakers can be found on the IPFA website. The upcoming Asia Workshop will continue to identify and discuss key issues, strategies and opportunities to meet the increasing requirements for Plasma for Fractionation and essential Plasma Derived Medicinal Products in the Asia region.

The IPFA Workshop will address a comprehensive range of topics including:

  • Donor recruitment and selection
  • Screening and diagnostic programmes for blood-borne pathogens
  • GMP and Quality management for Plasma for Fractionation
  • Regulatory issues
  • Plasma fractionation options
  • Clinical developments in the use of plasma derivatives
  • Product supply strategies to reduce dependency on imported products

This third meeting will build on IPFA’s traditions of open and inclusive discussions between all stakeholders who may have an interest in and/or responsibility for developing technological, quality, regulatory and organisational tools to produce plasma for fractionation in the Asia region.

Sponsorship

This event will be available for corporate sponsorship and will offer excellent exposure and networking opportunities. We expect about 200 delegates including experts from both the region and internationally. The structure of the meeting will allow time for discussion and interaction with all interested participants, including your own experts should they wish to attend.

In addition the size and informal atmosphere of the meeting will facilitate dialogue with guest speakers and other delegates both in the meeting forum and during breaks and social events. We have identified a number of categories of sponsorship, to profile and represent your company.

We warmly invite you to support and / or to attend this meeting and look forward to welcoming you to Malaysia for this important event!

Dr Paul F.W. Strengers, Executive Director IPFA
Dr Noryati Abu Amin, Director, Pusat Darah Negara (National Blood Centre)
