IPFA, the international association representing not-for-profit organisations with an interest in the safety and supply of plasma and plasma derived products, is pleased to announce the

IPFA/PEI 25th International Workshop on
“Surveillance and Screening of Blood-borne Pathogens”

Over the years, the IPFA/PEI Workshops have become the leading annual event for discussion and assessment of the infectious diseases risks of transfusion and for progress made with the development and implementation of processing and testing strategies to maintain the safety of the blood supply. The Workshop now represents an identified body of expertise, which provides direction for emerging applications of these technologies and issues related to blood safety in general.

Theme and objectives of the Workshop

This 25th International Workshop on Blood-borne Pathogens will address the detection, inactivation and epidemiology of new and old agents, that threaten the safety of blood components and plasma derivatives including the costs and regulation of safety interventions.

Target Audience

The Workshop is a highly regarded international event, attracting delegates from more than 30 countries with contributions from recognised experts and opinion formers. The Workshop will, as always, be valuable to all professionals with an interest in maintaining the safety of the blood supply for patients including: blood establishments, doctors and health care providers, industry, regulatory authorities, patient organisations and academia.

As a corporate sponsor you can be assured that this IPFA event offers excellent networking opportunities with recognized international experts. We expect about 200-225 delegates from the international scientific community, regulatory agencies, test kit manufacturers, blood services and plasma fractionators. The structure of the meeting will allow time for discussion and interaction with all interested participants, including your own experts, should they wish to attend. In addition the size and informal atmosphere of the meeting facilitates dialogue with guest speakers and other delegates both in the meeting forum and during breaks and social events.

There are a number of sponsorship categories, to profile and represent your company. Should you have questions regarding these arrangements, or any other suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

We warmly invite you to attend this meeting and look forward to welcoming you to Athens for this important event.
