IPFA proud partner of the ICSPP
IPFA is happy to announce that we are now a proud partner of the new International Coalition for Safe Plasma Proteins (ICSPP)
The International Society of Blood Transfusion (ISBT) and partners initiated this coalition to advance access to safe plasma proteins which are not always available in low- and middle- income countries. In support of the World Health Organization (WHO) blood program, the ICSPP facilitates in-country projects on stepwise enhancement of the quality, safety and volume of domestic plasma; local small-scale purification, concentration and virus-inactivation of plasma protein fractions (e.g., clotting factors and immunoglobulins); and progress toward industrial plasma fractionation.
The founding members of ICSPP include:
International Society for Blood Transfusion (ISBT),
International Federation of Blood Donor Organizations,
International Patient Organisation for Primary Immunodeficiencies,
World Federation of Hemophilia / Fédération mondiale de l’hémophilie
International Plasma and Fractionation Association (IPFA)
Plasma Protein Therapeutics Association (PPTA)
